Snow falls quite, and just like a thought, wanders and lingers without need for pause. As I listen to silence and watch nothing but white, the cold lightly kissing my nose, all the sorrows and worries hanging onto my frown are carried away on the breeze. Cuddled up in strong arms, protected and safe, my heart knows this is love.
I whisper three words seen as mist on the air,
and realize you couldn’t have heard,
so contented I sit and expect nothing for,
your presence is what I hold dear.
Holding me tight, the snow round us stirred
and my heart fills with joy at your simple words,
“My darling, I love you more”.
